The annual in-house pairs competition for the Mike Wilkins Shield was played on 5 August.
Club secretary Eira said “Not easy to do with five pairs and limiting time to not tire everyone out.” But it was a great morning, followed by a ‘bring-and’share’ feast, coordinated by Gill, with the bar open.
The final came down to Eamonn and Gill vs Ian and Tom, with Ian and Tom winning winners. Well done. The picture below demonstrates the complexities of arranging the tournament!
The presentation of the shield and trophy for the singles competition, won by Eamonn, is yet to be decided.
