The Ladies Doubles Final was held at The Parrot and Punchbowl, Aldringham. The sun shone, the audience gathered and the pistes were raked ready for combat
Those taking part were Deborah and Bev, seeded number two and Joy and Iris, seeded four.
Deborah and Bev got off to a good start but Joy and Iris gradually settled, especially when they scored five in the fourth end, taking them into the lead. The game then swung back and forth until Deborah and Bev eventually overcame their opponents and took the game 13-9.
The second game was a little easier for Deborah and Bev, although Iris and Joy fought hard, they eventually succumbed to lose 6-13.
The games were played in good spirits and Iris and Joy gave a really good fight to a well established, skilful pair of opponents.
Well done Deborah and Bev!
